Where'd my glasses go?

Here it is...the last picture of me in my glasses. No, the Dr. didn't clear me to officially ditch the glasses. I just decided, I'd had enough. I throw them off occasionally when I get bored/angry/annoyed [fill in blank here]...how was I supposed to know that my personal assistant (Mama) wasn't going to just scoop them up as we were walking home from the park?!

She didn't even clue in when she took this adorable picture of me sacked out in my stroller (see...NO glasses, NO hat). In fact, she didn't clue in until she got me up from my nap (THREE HOURS LATER) and wondered aloud "Now what did Mama do with your glasses". Then she paused, and ran downstairs in a panic (leaving me in my crib-grrrr)...to check out the picture of me in the stroller. The next thing I know--she's shoving me BACK in the stroller to retrace our steps along our 40 min. walk to the park (with Daddy as backup). We did find my glasses. In the middle of the road. They'd been driven over MANY times...found one lens (you know, one of the new ones that I'd only had for about three weeks) but it was chipped, the other lens was MIA and the frames, though still in one piece are unusable b/c they're chewed up and are too rough against my delicate cheeks. We also found my cool hand-me-down giraffe print hat (in perfect condition)! Sweet. It's a total bummer going around without glasses at the moment...but I should have a new pair in a few days! Gotta keep these parents of mine on their toes!

More Thunderhole adventures

A shot of me and the 'rents. Aw...aren't we cute?!

Heh heh....My parents are going to be in so much trouble!

Thunderhole

Finally...we got out of the house! Mama & Daddy took me to Acadia National Park to see Thunderhole for the first time. It was just after a large storm that hit the coast pretty badly so the waves were pretty spectacular. Being an Oregonian--I'm cool with the rain...so I didn't let it stop me from having a great day! For those of you who have never been to Thunderhole...the walkway that can barely be seen in the first picture on the left usually is open to the public! Whoa!

Winter Blahs

So...umm...yeah. It's been a while. Sorry. I've been busy shoveling...Snacks & Snow...(and this was in April!). By April 5th I was seriously beginning to wonder "where IS spring, will I ever get to play outside?"

The good news is that my Great Gram & Gramps are back from their "Winter Away" and I love having them around!

This is my Auntie Tam, my cousin Grace and me reading my new favorite book "Quack" (Thanks Carol & Tom!). Grace and I are only four weeks apart and are great pals.

Like my new "choosh"?

Finally! We're caught up! Mamma & Daddy took me to the shoe store the other day to have my feet sized. I had just gotten new shoes (size 5) at the end of November. I'd been checked in January and they still fit fine. Now, suddenly, my feet are a little over size five and a half so I'm wearing a gigantic size SIX shoe! Definately had a growth spurt b/c I'm now into 18-month pants as well (though, as you can see they're still a bit long!). I can RUN now too and walk backwards. I'm really keeping Mama and Daddy hopping. It's all good--they need the exercise!

Road trip!

A few weeks ago, Daddy had a conference in Boston so Mama and I tagged along. What a great time we had! We stayed at the Mariott at Copley place in downtown Boston. I loved the huge window that looked down on the city and spent most of my time looking for buses and trucks. Even cooler was the walkway that connects the hotel to the Prudential center b/c then I was practically close enough to feel the rumble of the trucks on the road. Can you tell I'm obsessed with trucks these days? Then we drove down to the Cape to visit Malinda, Mark and Zane (who we knew in Oregon) and had a blast. We took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard (my first time on the water!) and had an evening of music...Lot's of fun! On the way home we stopped to see Carol and Tom (Auntie Melissa's parents)...the last time I'd met them I was still in Mama's belly...so I'd changed quite a bit. Thankfully I was on my best behavior and didn't tear their house apart! Could be because they cooked us a wonderful brunch and I was entertained with my cool new books!
