Love to Read

This is my Auntie Tam, my cousin Grace and me reading my new favorite book "Quack" (Thanks Carol & Tom!). Grace and I are only four weeks apart and are great pals.

Like my new "choosh"?

Finally! We're caught up! Mamma & Daddy took me to the shoe store the other day to have my feet sized. I had just gotten new shoes (size 5) at the end of November. I'd been checked in January and they still fit fine. Now, suddenly, my feet are a little over size five and a half so I'm wearing a gigantic size SIX shoe! Definately had a growth spurt b/c I'm now into 18-month pants as well (though, as you can see they're still a bit long!). I can RUN now too and walk backwards. I'm really keeping Mama and Daddy hopping. It's all good--they need the exercise!

Road trip!

A few weeks ago, Daddy had a conference in Boston so Mama and I tagged along. What a great time we had! We stayed at the Mariott at Copley place in downtown Boston. I loved the huge window that looked down on the city and spent most of my time looking for buses and trucks. Even cooler was the walkway that connects the hotel to the Prudential center b/c then I was practically close enough to feel the rumble of the trucks on the road. Can you tell I'm obsessed with trucks these days? Then we drove down to the Cape to visit Malinda, Mark and Zane (who we knew in Oregon) and had a blast. We took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard (my first time on the water!) and had an evening of music...Lot's of fun! On the way home we stopped to see Carol and Tom (Auntie Melissa's parents)...the last time I'd met them I was still in Mama's belly...so I'd changed quite a bit. Thankfully I was on my best behavior and didn't tear their house apart! Could be because they cooked us a wonderful brunch and I was entertained with my cool new books!

Best room in the house

...I don't have very many pictures of the house yet...but here's the most important room...My Playroom! It's still a work in progress b/c Mama wants to repaint the back of the bookshelves white and Daddy needs to put a gate up in front of the radiator. I know "hot" so I stay away from it...but I want my friends (& cousins) who live in newer houses and don't know about
radiators to be safe. All in all, it's a pretty sweet place to hang out. Oh. Lina...Mama said she told you ages ago that she'd send you a picture of the tin ceiling in the dining room-here it is. Cool isn't it? The house has plenty of room for company so if any of you want to visit Maine have your peeps call my peeps and we'll get a reservation going.

Christmas Out-takes

These are some of Mama's favorite out-takes from our Christmas card...mostly because she loves the look of me in my ridiculous snow pants. Can't say that I love them, but they sure do keep me warm! I do, however, love my cool coat from Auntie Melis. Oh yeah...we bought a house in December--these pictures were taken on the front porch. It was (I think) our first snow of the year!

Playtime at the gym

Just to get you caught up on my activities...I've been lucky enough to have Mama home with me full time since September. This has given us the chance to get involved with a great play group, spend time with other kids at the local rec center, take swim classes at the Y, occasionally catch story time at the library and much more. At the moment my social calendar is far busier than Mama and Daddy's, which works out okay b/c someone has to help them make friends (hee hee). These pictures are from the Y Parent and me playtime. I love to crawl through tunnels and over blocks and roll around on the mats.

Family of Three

Ok. So this is a totally goofy picture (sorry Dad) but this was taken in November, it is now February and this is still the most recent picture of the three of us so it will have to do. Dad, maybe this will motivate you to be patient for more family photo ops even though I'm a wiggle worm and 'sometimes' voice my protests.

Love those baby blues!

A new blog begins

Where to start. Mama started this blog because many of our friends & family haven't yet created "my space" accounts and thus can't access our blog & photos. So...now you can at least stop by here on occassion to see some recent pics. This one is actually from Sept...but Mama loves it so I'm not about to argue.
